"D" is for Del Taco
The Vibration of Del Taco is Pretty Fuckin' Low
I live my life in the vibration of holistic and all alternative health perspectives before a “doctor” is ever considered if there’s a problem. Unfortunately, they are not taught to find the root cause for any condition and know nothing about nutrition being the most important to your health, beside mindset and attitude. Never one has any doctor asked about my eating habits, and when I tell what and how I eat to help them diagnose me, they don’t know what do say or do with that information. Foods that are fresh, whole, and minimally processed are typically considered to have higher vibrations, promoting health and vitality.
Del Taco, like many fast-food chains, offers food that is often processed and prepared quickly for convenience. From this viewpoint, fast food is generally thought to have lower vibrations due to several factors: it often contains processed ingredients, preservatives, and additives, which are believed to reduce vibrational energy; it can be high in unhealthy fats, sugars, and sodium, while being low in essential nutrients; and the quick preparation methods may prioritize speed over the quality and care associated with higher vibrational foods. Additionally, the quality and source of ingredients are also lesser quality.
Let’s check out Del Taco’s top 3 worst dishes. I swear, how is food like this passed by the FDA and The Health Department?
#1. Epic Burritos
There 3 large, overstuffed burritos frequently top the list for the worst dishes due to their extreme calorie and sodium counts. This is the absolute worst.
Epic Loaded Queso Burrito: The carne asada version has 900 calories and 2,920 mg of sodium, a truly staggering amount. This burrito needs to be arrested.
#2. Bacon Double Del Cheeseburger
This burger is one of Del Taco’s most unhealthy non-Mexican items, packing in high amounts of fat and sodium, containing 760 calories, 51 grams of fat (with 20 grams saturated fat), and 1,840 mg of sodium. This one also needs to go to jail.
#3. Caramel Cheesecake Bites
Cheesecake already being high in sugar, fat and calories, they took it a step further; they deep-fry these bites and needless to say, it’s a very poor nutritional choice and should not be allowed to be served.
A single order contains 244 grams of sugar, though the exact calorie count is not specified, which shouldn’t be allowed either.
#4. Del Taco Shredded Beef Birria Taco
This has approximately 350 calories, 15–20 grams of protein, 12–15 grams of fat, 40 grams of carbs and approximately1,287mg sodium. The exact sodium content wasn’t available but it’s around that amount based on the other tacos content.
My husband makes these at home and they are to die for! They aren’t hard to make, but it could take a few times before you perfect it!
I’d go into the ingredients list but I think this information says it all and should be avoided at all costs. To be fair, here are the top 3 healthier dishes Del Taco offers.
#1. Grilled Chicken Street Taco
For a balanced option, the Grilled Chicken Street Taco is a great choice.
Calories 110, Protein 9g., Fat: 3.5g (0g saturated)
Note: This taco offers a solid protein boost with minimal fat and is one of the lowest-calorie tacos on the menu.
#2. Crunchy Snack Taco
The Crunchy Snack Taco is the most basic and arguably the most nutritious taco available, thanks to its simplicity.
Calories 120, Protein 6g., Fat: 7g.
Note: This small taco with seasoned beef, lettuce, and cheese is lower in calories and fat than its soft-shell counterparts.
#3. Egg & Cheese Breakfast Roller
If you’re visiting for breakfast, this is your best option.
Calories 250, Protein 10g., Fat: 12g.
Note: With eggs and cheese in a flour tortilla, this is a much healthier breakfast choice than burritos containing processed meats like bacon or chorizo.
I am of the generation that making your food at home will always be the healthier option. You are what you eat, spiritually, mentally and physically. Please do more cooking at home!
